The beauty of living in a senior living cooperative is that our members enjoy both independence and participation. Each member values being independently responsible for themselves, however, there are an abundance of opportunities to actively participate with our friends and neighbors in Gramercy Park, as we live together in our senior community.
From the moment you join our community, you are among friends; and the senior friends here enjoy having fun! Join a book club or card club, meet some friends in the woodshop for a new project, harvest some food from the gardens, or join some friends on the free courtesy van for a shopping adventure. At Gramercy Park Senior Cooperative, you are more than just a tenant. You are an owner, and a member. As a member of a housing cooperative, you will experience the benefits of ownership, but you won’t have all the typical responsibilities of owning a house. In a way, it’s like having the best of both worlds. Allow us to explain.
Cooperative living provides the unique opportunity to participate in the ownership of your living space, while leaving the strenuous responsibilities of maintenance and upkeep of a house behind. You will enjoy a carefree lifestyle, in a safe and secure environment, while someone else takes care of the maintenance. And, as a member, you’ll experience financial security and a voice in the decision making of your home and community.
As a part of the Gramercy Park Senior Cooperative, you will have the opportunity to purchase your own living unit that reflects your own personal style and size requirements. Within the 87 units and 3 stories that make up Gramercy Park, you’ll find seven distinct floor plans to choose from, to find one that’s just right for you.
The uniqueness of the living spaces does not stop with just seven floor plans. Since we welcome our members making changes to their personal living space and bringing their own creative flare, you will find that no two units are exactly alike. Each one reflects the unique nature of a Gramercy Park member, and once you’ve settled in with us, your home will reflect you!

We’re proud of our community and we love to show people around. Because of that, we offer regularly scheduled tours every Thursday, and an open house in the spring and fall. In addition, we’re happy to schedule a private tour at another convenient time.
